They are based on the antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetic characteristics of azithromycin. They take into account both the clinical studies conducted with this medicine and its place in the range of antibacterial products currently available. They are limited to infections caused by bacteria defined as sensitive, including
Acute sinusitis. Given the microbiological profile of these infections, macrolides are indicated when treatment with beta-lactams is not possible.
Exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
Community-acquired pneumonia in subjects :
Treatment of type 2 diabetes, especially in case of overweight, when diet and physical exercise are not enough to restore glycemic balance.
In adults :
DIABIPHAGE can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents or insulin.
In children over 10 years old and adolescents :
