RADIOLOGIE
Radiology, in a broad sense, refers to medical and industrial applications that use radiation, primarily Xrays. This definition is focused primarily on medical radiology, used in the diagnosis or treatment of diseases.
Using rayons X emitted by a scanner, images of specific regions of the body (limb, organ, etc.) can be obtained. Different tissues react differently to the passage of radiation, resulting in a different impression on radiographic films.
Today, radiologists are increasingly relying on digital media to obtain more accurate images. Radiology is used to determine the location of a fracture, explore blood vessels or study defects in the breasts, among other things.
Radiology can also have curative purposes when it consists of exploiting the properties of X-rays in order to treat a disease, the most famous being of course radiotherapy against cancer.
