IV-FER 100 MG BT 5

IV-FER is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in the following cases :

• In the treatment of anemia in chronic hemodialysis-dependent renal insufficiency patients, in pre-dialysis or peritoneal dialysis, when treatment with oral iron has been inadequate or poorly tolerated.
• In preoperative situations: in patients included in an autologous blood donation program in combination with erythropoietin, provided they have moderate anemia (Hb between 9 and 11 g/100 ml), and their initial ferritin level is less than 150 µg/L.
• In the treatment of acute postoperative anemia in patients who cannot receive oral nutrition.
• In the treatment of hypoferric anemia (Hb < 10.5 g/100 ml) related to severe chronic inflammatory bowel diseases when oral treatment is not suitable.

IV-FER should only be administered if the indication is confirmed by appropriate examinations.
