Central analgesic reserved for short, medium or long duration anesthesia.
- Fentanyl is used in protocols for neuroleptanalgesia, balanced general anesthesia, and analgesic anesthesia (high doses).
Fentanyl can also be used for:
- Postoperative analgesia exclusively in patients undergoing intensive medical surveillance (intensive care unit, recovery room).
- By epidural administration, either alone or in combination with local anesthetics.
