Hypercholesterolemia
ATOR is indicated as an adjunct to diet for reducing elevated total cholesterol (Chol-T), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in adults, adolescents, and children aged 10 years or older with primary hypercholesterolemia, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia or mixed hyperlipidemia (corresponding to types IIa and IIb of the Fredrickson classification), when the response to diet or other non-pharmacological treatments is inadequate. ATOR is also indicated for reducing Chol-T and LDL-C levels in adults with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (including LDL apheresis) or when such treatments are unavailable.
Prevention of cardiovascular diseases
Prevention of cardiovascular events in adult patients with a high risk of a first cardiovascular event (see section 5.1), as an adjunct to correction of other risk factors.
