Resumption of Winthrop Pharma Senegal by MediS laboratories.

Dakar, April 17,2017th - MédiS and Sanofi today announced the purchase of Sanofi's shares in the WPS company by the MédiS group, which is now MédiS in Senegal. This new entity broadens the number of MédiS group production sites which until now included the MédiS laboratories in Tunisia, the NEAPOLIS PHARMA laboratories in Tunisia, the Inpha - MédiS laboratories in Algeria and the MédiS International laboratories in the Czech Republic.
The takeover of WPS offers undeniable assets to succeed in the development of MédiS in Africa:
Winthrop Pharma Senegal, a joint venture, was created in 1973 in Dakar and employs approximately 150 people. Its activity is dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of sterile ampoules, tablets and syrups for Sanofi in Senegal and sub-Saharan Africa.
